Learners must attend wearing appropriate workwear suitable for a plumbing workshop environment, including:

• Work trousers (no shorts)
• Sturdy work shoes or safety footwear
• Practical clothing suitable for hands-on training

Learners wearing unsuitable clothing may not be permitted to take part in practical sessions and may be asked to return home to change.

This is a practical, hands-on course delivered in a workshop environment. Learners will work with tools, pipework, and materials commonly used in the plumbing and heating industry.

Appropriate workwear must be worn at all times to reduce the risk of injury, including burns from hot materials and tools.

The Level 2 Diploma is assessed through a combination of internal and external components:

Internal Assessment:

• Practical assignments and short-answer written tests
• Monitored and standardised by the centre to ensure consistency
• Covers all units, including cold water, hot water, central heating, above-ground drainage, pipework fabrication, electrical systems, scientific principles, and communication

External Assessment:

• Externally set and marked on-screen multiple-choice examinations
• Available on demand under controlled exam conditions
• Practice papers provided for preparation

Pass Requirements:

• Learners must pass all assessments to achieve the Diploma
• Re-takes are allowed after feedback and additional tuition

• Start working in the plumbing and heating industry in an entry-level, supervised role
• Assist with domestic plumbing and heating installations and maintenance
• Gain real on-site experience while building practical skills
• Progress onto the Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Plumbing & Heating
• Work towards further qualifications, including Level 3

The total cost of the course is £4,000. A £1,000 deposit is required to secure your place.

The remaining balance must be paid in full before the course starts, or you may choose to pay via finance.
